I Slept With My Boss to Save My Job… Now I’ve Lost Everything

Mwana Mwithanga, sasa. You will definitely not know me, but I am a Kamba leaving in Narok. I have been going through the worst for the last 1 year. So, I was working for this company that dealt with logistics in Naiorbi where I had been stationed for the last 6 years. Before I joined the company, I was a housewife but a graduate from the University of Nairobi. After 3 years bila job, I was so excited to finally get a job. The place was, and the job was well paying until Covid-19 came and a notice was given that there was going to be lay-offs. By this time, the company's CEO was hitting on me. Sasa juu ya uoga ya kupoteza kazi, I saw this as an opportuntiy to save myself. So, polepole, I started giving in to his advances. Started saying yes to the dates, replying to his messages with emojis, I know you know what it means to intentionally flirt. Within 3 months, we started planning for 'seminars' and started sleeping together. At the beginning, the idea seemed exciting but after a while I started feeling guilty because of betraying my marriage. But again, I really wanted to keep my job. To say the truth, I survived the lay-off but did not know few years later, I would be crying at my husband's house, jobless and hopeless. Mid-last year, new positions were announced in the company. Assuming that I would land one being 'mtoto wa mdosi', I was ina for a rude shock. Instead of getting a new position, I was instead served with a redudancy letter, indicating that work ethics were not meeting the company policies. A letter signed by the boss himself. I told my husband that nilisingiziwa vitu kazini, but I regret everything. I honestly do not know what to do😪😪😪
